    You said the truth. These camera manufacturers have secret algorithm. I was
    trying to recreate a high key picture taken in guide mode in Nikon D3300. I
    dialed exact same information in same lighting environment for the same
    subject but couldn’t recreate it with SAME INFO in manual mode! The camera
    is even dialing 220 ISO in auto but it is not allowing me to dial it in
    manual. Instead i can only choose either 200 or 300. EV info says, it is
    in program 2 but never tells me what setting it is really choosing! I am
    not saying you cannot get the same effect in manual mode but you just can’t
    dial what camera is telling you.

    i use the spot metering a lot …especially in portraiture to get the
    eye/eyes in focus…. am i doing that right? thanks you… i enjoy your
